Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed

Willems, M. (2009). Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed. New York, NY: Hyperion Books for Children.

Brief Annotation: Wilbur, unlike other naked mole rats, enjoys getting dressed. Because of this, the other naked mole rats make fun of him. He can be anything he wants when he dresses up. Will he be able to convince his peers that getting dressed is fun?
Genre: Picture book, animal fiction
Grade Level: PreK-4
Readers who will like this: Children who like naked mole rats, Mo Willems, picture books, or funny stories.
Response/Rating (1-4): 4; This is one of my favorite Mo Willems books. It’s extremely entertaining, beautifully illustrated, and sends an important message of acceptance.
