Brief Annotation: Senor Calavera is on his way to his grandmother’s birthday party. As he begins his trip he runs into a ghost named Zelmiro who reminds him that he needs to bring his grandmother a present, but what to bring? Senor Calavera decides to get his grandmother one present for each letter of the alphabet but has an accident before he can give them to her. This book is teaching both Spanish and the alphabet to its reader.

Response/Rating 4; in the beginning of the book I found myself questioning my own Spanish skills of the alphabet. I especially like that the letter is the first letter in a Spanish word, but under the word is the English translation. The illustrations were colorful and attention grabbing.
