Hawk, I Am Your Brother

Annotation: Rudy Sota is an Indian boy that would love to be able to fly someday, despite what others have to say. One day he comes across a baby hawk and takes it home. Knowing that the hawk needs to be set free, the time spent with one another they form a bond. The bond helps Rudy feel as if he is apart of the hawk and feels the freedom of flying by letting go of the hawk.

Rating/Response: (4)- It was an beautifully written book about a bond that a child has with a hawk, in a poetic way of writing. The illustrations help tell the story in a simplistic way using one color and lines to help create the story.
