Willems, M. (2006). Edwina: The Dinosaur Who Didn’t Know She Was Extinct. New York, NY: Hyperion Books for Children.

Brief Annotation: Edwina is a dinosaur that everyone in town loves, except Reginald Von Hoobie-Doobie. He knows everything and tries to convince the whole town that dinosaurs are extinct. But no one listens to him, except, Edwina. How will she react to the news that she is extinct?
Genre: Picture book, children’s fiction.
Grade Level: K-4
Readers who will like this: Children who like dinosaurs, Mo Willems books, and picture books.
Response/Rating (1-4): 4; I love Mo Willems. This book is adorable, it would be great for use in the classroom when talking about extinction.
One question you would ask before a read aloud: Have you ever tried to tell a story but no one would listen to you?
