Readers who will like this: Children who are curious about hot air balloons; Humorous children; Children who like farm animals; Children learning about the history of inventions

Response/Rating: 4; this book was hands down, one of the best books I have read for this class! It had not only a humorous story line, but it included factual information in the beginning and end of the story; there was even facts on the back fly leaf and paste down! This book is a fun way to learn about the history of inventions that are not always thought in depth about! I really enjoyed that there was wordless pictures for the travel portion of this book, it gives the reader the ability to add in his or her own interpretations of what could have happened on the first flight!

One question you would ask before a read aloud: Do you know what a hot air balloon is? Have you ever ridden in one?
