Pete's A Pizza

Steig, W. (1998). Pete’s A Pizza. New York: HarperCollins Publishers Inc.

Annotation: Pete is in a bad mood because he was supposed to play outside but it started to rain. So, to make him happy, his dad decides to make him into a pizza!

Genre: Fiction

Grades: Preschool-K

Readers: Children who can’t play outside because it’s raining. Children who like pizza.

Rating/Response: 3; I think this would be a great story for children just learning to read. It would also be good for rainy days, I think children would find it funny and entertaining.

Questions: Have you ever eaten pizza? Have you ever been made into a pizza?!
