Tales From Grimm

Gág, W. (1936). Tales From Grimm. Minneapolis, MN: University of Minnesota Press.

Brief Annotation: This book houses 17 Grimm fairytales. I used this book to read the Grimm version of Cinderella for my folktale comparison paper.

Genre: folktale

Grade Level: PreK-5

Readers who will like this: Children who like folktales, Cinderella, and stories with morals.

Response/Rating (1-4): 4; As a child I had only been exposed to the Disney Cinderella story; I really enjoyed the Grimm version. It seemed more intriguing to me as there is more detail in this version.

One question you would ask before a read aloud: What do you ask for when your parents go away on a trip?
