Brief Annotation: This book by Jerry Pinkney is a wordless picture book. The illustrations tell the story of the The Lion & The Mouse fable. A loin is disturbed by a mouse and captures it. After talking to the mouse he decides to free it and believed it could never pay him back until the lion gets caught in a trap. Will the mouse be able to help the Lion?

Response/Rating (1-4): 4; I love this book! Jerry Pinkney’s illustrations are fantastic and he does a great job of telling the story of this fable without using words.
