Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late!

Bibliographic Information: Willems, M. (2006). Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late!. New York: Hyperion Books for Children.

Brief Annotation: Pigeon is NOT ready for bed and he is thinking of everything he can to stay away from the bed, including a hotdog party and a tv show about birds! It is the reader’s job, however, to make sure that Pigeon does not stay up late. This interactive read brings the reader on an adventure of everything you could do with Pigeon if he were to not go to bed!

Genre: Fiction, Picture book

Grade Level: K-1

Response/Rating 3: This book was very entertaining. The ideas that Pigeon had made me wonder what the author thinks about. It’s very creative and very simple. A perfect book before bedtime!
